BASIC FUNCTION
This is an exciting, intellectually challenging opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion and skill for sales/business development and an understanding of market research and its value to the public sector. As a Director within our Government practice, you will utilize top notch sales skills to develop new client relationships. The Director will sell the comScore product line to public sector clients at the Federal, State and Local levels and to government vendors. The Director will support the company's goals through a range of sales and business development functions and will help drive comScore's explosive growth and industry leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling our unique analysis and research services, leveraging comScore core capabilities to address clients' strategic and tactical marketing challenges, and ensuring that our current products and services meet the needs of clients in this new vertical.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Utilize personal knowledge of the public sector to develop and implement a sales plan to effectively sell comScore’s products and services to Federal, State and Local government prospect clients as well as vendors including large system integrators such as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, CSC, Booz Allen Hamilton and others
• Key responsibility will be identifying, selling and closing new business. Leverage comScore’s products and services and personal sales skills to create new opportunities within prospect clients and set up in person meetings with key decision markers to discuss the value of the comScore product line
• Identify and develop solid, strategic relationships with key decision makers at targeted account and develop a strong understanding of the client’s business in order to demonstrate how the comScore product line can assist them to achieve their business goals
• Grow and expand knowledge of the market research industry and assigned industry focus
• Work with internal teams such as product management and others to ensure that feedback from prospect clients is addressed and the products are meeting current client needs
QUALIFICATIONS
• A highly aggressive, proven sales professional with a exceptional track record of success
• 4 to 6 years direct sales experience required with experience selling to the Federal and State government community (agencies and vendors) required
• Deep understanding of the government ecosystem and the major agencies and vendors in the space from a sales and business development perspective required.
• Strong understanding of market research and how information can be applied to help client’s to achieve their goals
• A relentless work ethic and a desire to go the extra mile
• Direct experience selling online market research and/or analysis based products is highly desirable
