Job Title: Statistical Services Analyst
Location: Reston, VA
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Research and Methods
About the Job:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining statistical models that provide deep insights in understanding online audiences and advertising campaigns. You’ll have visibility that you will not get at other organizations, including working directly with our SVP, Research and Methods.

• You have strong understanding of probability distributions and know how to apply this knowledge in solving business problems.

• You’ve got a confident, positive attitude and recognize the value of the other members on your team.
What You’ll Do in this Role:
• Work directly with our SVP Research and Methods to:
o Analyze information obtained from management in order to conceptualize and define operational problems
o Formulate mathematical or simulation models of these problems
o Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions
• Undertake the operational and technical aspects of processing information and data analysis in areas relevant to the work area (understanding audience and campaign measurement)
• Contribute to the development of processes, procedures, methodologies and systems relevant to the work area, including preparation of appropriate documentation
• Understand the requirements of internal and external clients and where applicable, liaise, communicate and provide assistance
• Apply knowledge and maintain awareness of issues for providing advice in areas of expertise
• Research conceptual and methodological issues and recommend/implement improvement based on research.
Skills that will help to make you successful:
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or other Quantitative Analytics required, masters strongly preferred
• Bachelors plus 2+ years of working in statistical modeling or statistical problem solving environment or masters and relevant modeling experience gained in university environment
• Strong understanding of statistical tools / model building and their application to solve business initiatives
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Programming experience in one or more of the following preferred- SAS,Matlab, R, or WinBugs. Deep enough skill to write queries extract data and pull together concise, detailed reports. Experience with SQL also a strong plus
