      Qualifications:
     
    Skills that we’ll need you to have include:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative and/or technical subject such as Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.
    • 1-2 years professional experience.
    • SQL experience plus proficiency with numbers/statistics is a must.
    • Strong analytic skills that include analysis design and execution.
    • Experience in data analysis and problem solving utilizing very large datasets.
    • Knowledge of relational databases and methods for efficiently retrieving data from them.
    • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new data sources and methodologies.
    • Strong project management skills including ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects starting from developing requirements to execution and final testing.
    • Experience working with developers, engineers and other technical resources.
    • General knowledge of how the Internet works.
    • Adaptable person who can deal with a fast pace business environment.
    • Must be able to maintain a “Big Picture” perspective.
    • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience with web analytic packages such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Webtrends etc. are a plus.
    • Working knowledge of Javascript, .Net Programming, VB, and/or C# a plus.
    • Experience with behavioral panel data a plus.

    comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR) is seeking a Senior Analyst to be a contributing member of the Research and Development (R&D) team within the Custom Analytics group at our Reston, VA headquarters.

    Title: Senior R&D Analyst – Custom Analytics

    Reports To: Senior Manager - Custom Analytics

    Location: Reston, VA

    What it is:
    Senior Analyst role is for a person with experience in analysis of consumer data and/or web analytics data with a focus on creation and automation of statistical models. Analysts will extract, manipulate, and analyze data in order to provide reports and findings for various custom projects.

    How you fit into the company structure:
    • Support the Sales and Client Service teams by producing high-end ad-hoc analyses to support sales initiatives, utilizing a combination of SQL, Excel, and other statistical/mathematical software packages.
    • Extract, transform and analyze data from the corporate warehouse, then generate final reports and key findings.
    • Provide guidance to sales, client service, and technical resources and concurrently manage multiple projects at different stages of the project life cycle.
    • Will be required to interact directly with internal and external clients.
    • Implement efficient and repeatable methodologies and processes for producing ad-hoc analyses.
    • Will have a good understanding of the market, methodology, and technology that make up each of the products in the Media Metrix 360 product suite.
    • Recognize data issues and work efficiently with other internal departments to get problems resolved and implement future safeguards.
