BASIC FUNCTION:
The Research Manager will be responsible for coordinating all activities and final deliverables of concurrent custom survey research projects for comScore clients. In this role, the Research Manager will also be responsible for assisting in consulting with clients regarding the implementation of research deliverables. The Research Manager will take ownership for the quality of every client deliverable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Identify and gain agreement on key client objectives and expectations regarding custom research clients
Design/write questionnaires
Oversee all data-related aspects of project execution
Management of quality control assurance from fielding through report delivery
Manage progress of survey research projects to ensure accomplishment of client research objectives- this includes communication to anticipate challenges related to survey design, fielding/data collection, and project deliverables. It also requires the Research Manager to take the lead role in active communication with the client and the Research Director/Internal Team in reporting project progress, anticipating and overcoming project-related challenges, and assuring quality deliverables.
Creating/writing data tabulation and banner plans, and checking data for accuracy once custom tabulations have been produced
Perform basic analysis of survey research results, including sub-group analysis based on cross tabulation, for inclusion in reports. Able to develop/write overall study analytic plans. Basic analysis to include:
o Produce descriptive analyses of results consistent with client research objectives- including cross-tabulation and profiling
o Perform basic analyses of statistical significance using accepted measures such as t-tests, chi square and analysis of variance
o Perform correlation analysis
Design/create reports/presentations based on client needs and present findings and recommendations to clients with supervision
Analyze large information sets in order to communicate compelling insights to clients
Write and submit proposals for additional projects to existing clients. Support and upsell existing clients with companys growth objectives in mind.
Manage and help grow internal analyst team. Oversee analyst activities and advise them on key methodology issues to ensure all project related tasks are successfully completed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, or quantitative field
2-5 years of survey research experience. Work experience that is analytical in nature, and experience with custom research is highly desired.
Background in online advertising or experience in the online retail sectors required. Familiarity with advertising effectiveness research strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and quality
Understanding of survey execution needs and requirements
Proven ability to manage and develop ongoing client relationships
Experience managing multiple projects and internal tasks
Must be proficient in SPSS
Experience determining client requirements and coordinating with product development is a plus
Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal, and presentation skills
Pro-active problem solving skills
Proven leadership ability and evidence of positively influencing cross-functional team members and mentoring junior staff
Very high energy/ positive attitude
Microsoft office proficiency with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
