What this role does:
In this role you will maintain, design, and develop enterprise scale database applications that support our clients and internal analysts to improve productivity of data and data functions. You’ll work on cutting-edge applications that are shaping the way companies use internet information while helping comScore to develop strong database solutions. You’ll be working as part of a skilled, collaborative team to jointly design and implement applications with high visibility, while getting credit for your contributions.
What you’ll use your expertise for:
• Maintenance of existing applications and design new applications utilizing SQL Server and Microsoft ASP.NET.
• Make enhancements to existing applications to improve functionality and delivery
• Participate in the design of new applications using SQL Server, Sybase and Microsoft .NET.
• Work directly with Analytics & other Developers to design and implement scalable applications and automation systems.
Skills that you’ll have to help you succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Statistics or Mathematical field. Strong mathematical and statistical background is a must.
• 5 or more years experience in SQL Server (2005 or 2008) and T-SQL. You should be adept at coding stored procedures and schema creation and modification statements.
• Understand the advanced statistical methods provided by business analytics and implement them using T-SQL.
• Experience working with large volumes of data. (Think Terabytes!)
• Advanced SQL skills, including the new T-SQL enhancements to SQL Server 2005 and 2008.
• Ability to code in the .NET framework using ASP.net, and C# or VB.net
• Background in JavaScript and AJAX preferred.
• Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and an ability to creatively solve problems, citing specific examples.
• Your inherent proactive nature, and “can-do” attitude.
