    Systems Engineer
    Location: Reston, VA

    Job Description:

    The function of the Product Operations team is to execute and support the daily processes needed for comScore to function. This spans all areas of the business, including data collection, data aggregation, processing, and publishing the data to our customers. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the systems and processes needed for the daily, weekly, and monthly production of comScore data. This includes performing weekly maintenance on 200+ Windows servers. In this role, you will also be the point person for running daily jobs and performing ad hoc requests as they come in. You will work across multiple systems to ensure that everything that is supposed to happen in a day completes successfully. Problem solving will consume a large portion of your time, as you will assist multiple teams with resolving issues on a daily basis. Your technical and analytical skills will be challenged and will increase over time as you become the point of contact for production processing.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support of the production systems (partial weekend support is common)
    • Windows server patches and maintenance
    • Execution of scheduled jobs and scripts to process data
    • Processing of ad hoc requests
    • Validation of process completion
    • Windows server patches and updates
    • Document production processes and standard operating procedure
    • Update support documentation on a weekly basis
    • Weekly status reports highlighting critical concerns
    • Communication of issue summaries including root cause
