Database Services Analyst – Mobile Operations

Location: Reston, VA

BASIC FUNCTION:
DB Services maintains, administers and enhances database processing and reporting infrastructure supporting multiple business units. The team deploys staff and technical infrastructure to optimize production processes, expand quality reporting practices, and establish efficiencies through continuous automation.

This hands-on, software/DB engineering role contributes to the organization's success through expertise in data modeling, advanced database programming, and data analysis skills. Qualified individuals will have a solid background in the fundamentals of Data Warehouse Querying, experience in MS SQL Servers, experience in SQL programming and relational database design

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience
• 2+ years of Relational Database Development or Data Modeling experience (Preferably with SQL Server 2005/2008)
• Experience using Windows/DOS scripting to execute scheduled tasks
• Proficient with T-SQL and expertise in creating database objects like Stored Procedures, Views, User Defined Functions, Linked Servers and Jobs.
• Ability to Extract Transform and Load delimited or XML data into SQL Server
• Familiarity with SQL BI tools like SSRS, SSIS and SSAS is preferred
• Familiarity with web-based applications or Experience with Object Oriented application frameworks is a plus (.Net)
• Mobile or Wireless data experience is desired.
